How long does it take to complete from start to finish for an IVF procedure?
One cycle of IVF usually takes between four and six weeks to complete. You have to wait a few weeks for the eggs to mature. After this, you and your partner will have to spend half a day or more in the hospital to retrieve and fertilize your eggs.
How long does it take to get pregnant with in vitro?
It usually takes two weeks for your ovaries to be stimulated to produce follicles. When ovulation begins, sperm fertilization occurs. In IVF, the fertilization process takes four to six weeks before the egg returns. After fertilization, the embryos are transferred to the female, anywhere after three to five days.
What are the side effects of IVF?
Some side effects of IVF may include:
